Ok, so you're looking at our stuff and thinking "Seems kind of high priced for a cutting board." I thought so too first time I saw someone else selling them. Then we started making some and realized why. The cost of lumber is high (just like everything else) making the average cost for one board foot of material around $15. Some of the exotics run around $30, A small board is about a board foot, and a large is 2 or more. It takes us an average of 4-5 hours of labor per large board, slightly less for small ones. Figure in the cost of maintaining machines and stuff like sandpaper, mineral oil, and wax, there is not much room left. These aren't for everyone, the main reason I make them is my love for wood working. Even if you don't want one, look them over and marvel at natures beauty.
